September 09, 2013 The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of two cats found in Bay Point. The first cat was discovered by Bay Point Security on September 1, 2013, lying in the street on Wahoo Road within the Bay Point community. Unfortunately, the remains had been thrown away, but Bay Point Security gave deputies a picture of the cat taken on a cell phone. The remains consisted of just the back half of a cat.
On September 9 at about 6:30 a.m. deputies responded to Bay Point in reference to another dead cat found by Bay Point Security lying in the street on Pompano Road. This time Security had preserved the remains to be examined. Again, only the back half of the cat was found.
The investigation is ongoing.
