Fugitive arrested in Panama City after running….

Thursday, September 12, 2013    A Putnam County woman wanted on two counts of aggravated assault and other charges was back in custody Sept. 4. Sheriff Howard Sills went to Panama City, Fla., to pick up Khai Julia Green after she was found and arrested there. Sills said Tuesday she is being held without bond in the Putnam County jail. Green did not show up for a court appearance in mid-August. She is charged with the aggravated assault in the shootings of Rontavious Crawford and a 10-year-old at an apartment in Angel Square Village. The two were shot Feb. 6. The child was asleep in bed and was hit in the foot by a bullet that came through the apartment wall.Green was charged in the case with Damieon Wicks, also of Eatonton.Green is accused of taking Wicks to the apartment and calling Crawford to get him outside. Crawford was shot in the back.Green also was arrested in May on charges of distribution of marijuana and theft by shoplifting.She did not show up for a bond revocation hearing after the May charges.The case against Wicks and Green was continued until November, Dawn Baskin, assistant ADA, said in August.
