The Gulf County Sheriff Office is investigating an early morning shooting which occurred in Wewahitchka on Sunday, September 22, 2013. The victim underwent surgery and is currently listed in critical condition, but is expected to recover. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the incident to determine whether the shooting was accidental, or intentional. The victim’s information is being withheld pending the conclusion of the investigation. There are numerous witnesses to the incident, which are being interviewed by investigators. More details of the incident will be released upon the competition of the investigation.
