At approximately 6:50 pm this evening, the Bay County Sheriffs Office responded to an armed robbery at the Sugar Sands Hotel at 20723 Front Beach Rd. A white male, approximately 5’08, wearing black clothes, a brown wig and a fake moustache approached the clerk armed with a black semi automatic handgun and demanded money from the register. The male fled on foot eastbound along Front Beach Rd. Investigators believe that this same subject is responsible for the armed robbery at the Hampton Inn on Back Beach Rd last week.
