ARREST MADE FOR LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS BATTERY  Gulf County Sheriff Mike Harrison announces the arrest of Chelsea R. Sandifer (21) of Wewahitchka.   On May 1, 2014, Sandifer turned herself in at the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) after a warrant was issued for her arrest.  On March 26, 2014, investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) contacted GCSO investigators regarding a criminall investigation they were conducting.  The FCSO investigation revealed a case regarding a lewd or lascivious battery on a child less than sixteen years of age in Gulf County.  During the course of the investigation it was discovered the offenses started in December 2012.  Investigators conducted interviews and reviewed electronic media devices.  As a result of the investigation, Sandifer was arrested and charged with twenty-two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Child Less than Sixteen Years of Age.    Sandifer was first appeared and bond was set at $110,000.  She remains in custody.      Prepared by:  Capt.
