Panama City Police News Release May 24, 2014
The Panama City Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at the Hop n Pop located at 1307 E. 5th Street. At approximately 2:12 AM on May 24th 2014, officers responded to the buisiness in reference to a disturbance. Once on scene officers learned that three black males had been shot during the altercation. Marqueze D. McGhee, 25 years of age and Xavier M Buckler, 23 years of age, both of Panama City Florida, were transported to Bay Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Both men were pronounced deceased upon arrival. The third male, Dalreco Franklin, 26 years of age, of Panama City Florida, was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the leg. Two other subjects are being sought after for questioning by police in connection with this incident.
