Robbery on  Maple Avenue PANAMA CITY
August 21, 2014 The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Jaterrance Goodman, 20 years of age. On August 21, 2014, at 1:00 A.M. officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of Maple Avenue, in reference to a robbery. Officers spoke to the victim who stated he was eating with friends at a local restaurant when he received a telephone call from Goodman. Goodman requested the victim come pick him up from the area of the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center. The victim stated he borrowed a vehicle from a friend he was with and went to pick up Goodman. When the victim arrived in the area he stated Goodman, who was pointing a firearm
at him, approached the vehicle. Goodman removed the victim from the vehicle and had him lay face down on the ground. The victim then stated two other individuals in masks approached and took his belongings. The vehicle owner’s sunglasses and other belongings were also taken from the vehicle.
A last known address was obtained for Goodman and officers made contact with him at the residence in the 1600 block of East 9th Court. Goodman and three other males, that were present at the residence, were taken to the Panama City Police Department for questioning and the residence was secured until a search warrant could be obtained. After obtaining a warrant, detectives searched the residence and located some of the victim’s property and a firearm under the mattress in a bedroom. After questioning, Goodman was arrested ant transported to the Bay County Jail, charged with armed robbery and burglary of a conveyance. Additional suspects are being sought in this case.
