West Virginia fugitives arrested in Bay County
August 27, 2014 The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of 22 year old, Telisa R. McCauley and 19 year old, Alisyn L. Proctor, both from West Virginia. On August 14, 2014, a group of individuals, that included McCauley and Proctor, robbed the Foodland store in Kanawha City, West Virginia. During the robbery a store clerk was shot and the robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. West Virginia Law Enforcement Officials have arrested multiple suspects in this case and received information that McCauley and Proctor had fled the state. The Panama City Police department, in cooperation with the United States Marshals, Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force, received intelligence that the two may have arrived in Panama City and were staying at a local motel. Shortly before 8:00 P.M., on August 26, 2014, Task Force members, along with Panama City Police detectives, took the females into custody without incident. At the time of their arrest, McCauley and Proctor had a large amount of cash on them, suspected to be part of the take from the robbery. McCauley and Proctor were taken to the Bay County Jail, where they will await extradition to West Virginia to face charges of first-degree robbery.
