Southport bodies identified
September 27, 2014 The Bay County Sheriff’s Office today released the identities of the bodies found within a home at 1327 10th Street in Southport.
John Steve Bowen, age 46, and Donna Maria Merendino, age 44, were found deceased by a family member in the home, who then called 911.
Although the events leading to the deaths of Bowen and Merendino remain officially undetermined, it does not appear to be a random incident.
The scene is being forensically analyzed by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit. The bodies have been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Autopsies are scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2014.
