Seventy seven year old Don Beebe escaped from his home just moments before the house burst into flames. Smoke from the home on Moor Park Road in Fountain could be seen a mile away. Fire crews from Bay County arrived, only to contain the fire which totally destroyed the mobile home in minutes.
Mr. Beebe told the COUNTY PRESS in an exclusive interview, I had just put some cloths in the dryer, sat down and smelt smoke. I grabbed the nearest thing to me, my wallet and ran from the house as I saw a curtain of flames coming towards me. Mr. Beebe was being care for by EMS when the COUNTY PRESS interviewed him. His face was covered in soot, and he had some fire singing on the top of his head. He is left with only his wallet, an old tee shirt and shorts. ” “I lost my dentures and glasses” he added. Fortunately, his two sons live on joining lots, so he has a place to go tonight.
