The Panama City Beach Police Department announces the arrest of Amanda Leigh Strickland, age 34, from Panama City Beach, Florida, for the charge of Aggravated Battery Domestic.
On 09/0212013 at about 0800 hours, Patrol officers from Panama City Beach Police Department responded to a local hospital facility in response to a stabbing which had occuned in the jurisdiction of Panama City Beach. Upon investigation it was revealed the victim had been in a verbal altercation with his live-in girlfriend, Ms. Strickland, at their mutual residence. While the victim was attempting to leave for work, Ms. Strickland threw a silver box cutter at
the victim which penetrated approximately 2 inches into his middle back region. Subsequent to the victim’s interview, Investigators from the Panama City Beach Police Department responded to the victims address. While there, they were able to locate evidence to substantiate the victim’s statement. While interviewing Ms. Strickland, she made incriminating statements as to her involvement in this crime. Ms. Strickland was placed under arrest and transported to the Bay County Jail.
