THREE ARRESTED IN CALLAWAY ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in Callaway on October 5, 2014, on multiple drug charges.
At approximately 9:55 a.m. a deputy in Callaway traveling north on N. Fox Avenue observed a vehicle at the stop sign at Lisa Lane and N. Fox Avenue. The deputy noticed the driver grab his selt belt and pull it over his shoulder. As the vehicle passed the deputy’s car, the deputy saw the driver still did not have his seat belt on.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on N. Fox Avenue and recognized the woman in the back seat as Mandy Little Murphy, wanted on an outstanding warrant. The deputy told her she was under arrest and as Murphy got out of the car, the deputy saw a small plastic baggie with white residue, a spoon with residue, and a syringe lying on the floor in front of Murphy. Mandy Little Murphy was placed under arrest.
Another deputy arrived at the scene and approached the driver, identified as Johnny Wayne Carr II. Carr admitted to the deputy he did not have a valid driver’s license. As the deputy attempted to handcuff Carr, he started pulling away and would not take his hands out of his pockets. Another deputy assisted and they were able to place Carr in handcuffs. A small black pouch was found in Carr’s pocket. The pouch contained several small plastic baggies with white powder residue. Three baggies contained what appeared to be meth ice slivers.
The passenger in the front was identified as Donald Wayne Buittie. A search of the vehicle was done and in the passenger side front door a syringe was found. Between the front passenger seat and driver’s seat, another syringe and syringe cap was found. On the floor of the driver’s side was a digital scale with residue.
Mandy Little Murphy, age 33, of 6706 Winona Street, Panama City, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Donald Wayne Buittie, age 44, of 7032 Lisa Lane, Panama City, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Johnny Wayne Carr II, age 33, of 9121 N. McAnin, Southport, was charged with Driving With License Suspended, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
